Create a WordPress Website and SSL using Google Cloud Platform – 2020

Here are the steps that I’ll be teaching you:
0:40 Go to Google Cloud Platform Marketplace
0:55 Configure VM Instance for Bitnami WordPress and Launch it
2:35 Secure your WordPress
4:00 Create CloudDNS
5:40 Point your Domain to your WordPress VM Instance using Google Domains
7:14 Add SSL on your WordPress website
Command to add SSL: sudo /opt/bitnami/bncert-tool

10:23 Remove Bitnami Logo
Command to remove Bitnami Logo
sudo /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/bnconfig –disable_banner 1
If you got ‘command not found’ error, go to the directory by executing these commands:
cd /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress
sudo mv /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/bnconfig.disabled /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/bnconfig
Note: There is a space after bnconfig.disabled

sudo /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/bnconfig –disable_banner 1

  1. Please Note: There is a space after bnconfig.disabled. Add a space after<SPACE>
    sudo mv /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/bnconfig.disabled<SPACE>/opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/bnconfig

  3. Brother when i am stuck at 4:00 (Create CloudDNS) when i enter the zone name and dns name while keeping the dnssec off, i get the error saying "The attempted action failed, please try again.

I'm trying to follow your instructions here for SSL (at 7:14) but you're talking about a VM instance and I don't have one of those (not needed for a static site). Am I missing something or am I looking in the wrong place? Thanks.

  9. bitnami banner disabled: or you can do this

    sudo /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/bnconfig.disabled –disable_banner 1

    sudo /opt/bitnami/ restart apache

  10. Brother I did all correctly and SSL is also activated but the problem I'm facing right now is that my website is not showing I'm having following error
    This site can’t be took too long to respond.

    EDITED: Never MIND I solved it I mistakenly allowed http and https traffic in vm instance

    CAN you help me answer this question.
    When I add ssl use that tool and my domain, they warning pls enter valid domains. When I search my domain it's working. but when I use wordpress open it, display the IP only instead of the domain name. How can I solve this?

  13. Hello i have a problem on the last step, remove the logo, on the last command is saing
    sudo mv /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress /bn

    config.disabled /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress /bnconfig

    mv: target '/bnconfig' is not a directory

    sudo mv /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/bnconfig.disabled /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/bnconfig

  17. mv: missing destination file operand after '/opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/bnconfig.disabled/opt/bitnami/apps/wordpres


    Try 'mv –help' for more information. this error shown while removing error, pls help
