Hey guys, Taylor here with another website hosting video. And today we’re talking all things hostgator. Now, you might have heard of Hostgator, they definitely have some impressive campaigns and marketing. But is it the best option for you? Is it fast and reliable? And what sort of features does it offer? Well, today, we’re gonna be diving into a review of host gators, and talking about some of those benefits and features to see if it might be right in your particular situation. As always, I will leave links to Hostgator down in the description below, along with any deals or discounts that I might find. So feel free to check it out there if you are interested. Now, Hostgator has been around a little while as the company was founded in 2002. So they are no stranger to web hosting. But despite all that experience, does it equal a good product? Well, that’s what we’re gonna be talking about today. So first off, let’s get into some of the features. Now in terms of features that are generally standard on web hosting platforms, you get things like the SSL certificates, automatic backups, spam assassin to keep your email protected, website backup, and restore, and so on. And as I said, these features generally come stock with web hosting services. So Hostgator doesn’t really set itself apart here. But again, it’s good that these features do exist. One nice thing here is that all the plans do come with a free Hostgator website builder, which is a great option if you’re interested in creating your own website. It has 100 mobile responsive designs and a media library for you to pull from to create the website of your dreams. Also, another great feature here is it does have free website migration and domain transfers. So you can easily move your existing website into the Hostgator service. Now Hostgator does use cPanel. So if you’re familiar with web hosting, you’ve probably used cPanel. Before, it is a great feature, it does have one click scalability, which means if the traffic on your website is fluctuating quite frequently, you can easily increase the capacity requirements with just a couple of clicks. This will basically just help make sure that your performance remains consistent. And more importantly, you’re only paying for the resources you need when you need them. Now let’s talk about servers. Hostgator does claim to have supercharged cloud architecture, low density servers, CDN and multiple caching layers. And basically their claim with all of this is that your WordPress website will load up to two and a half times faster, but two and a half times faster than what and what are those actual speeds look like? Well, we’re gonna get into that a little bit later on. Now, if you’re a beginner in the world of web hosting Hostgator is definitely a great option for you. But there are a lot of features here that are definitely for more advanced users. It does come with all the standard advanced level features. For example, they have my SQL databases with PHP, my admin access and FTP accounts, as well as some extras. There’s also support for PHP five, and seven, Ruby on Rails, Perl and Python, and SSH access and cron job scheduling for optimal system management. One great thing about Hostgator is that all the plans do have a lot of resources. So as a Hostgator customer, you’ll get unmetered bandwidth, unlimited subdomains, FTP accounts, email accounts, and a minimum of 100 gigs of storage. So basically, it means that you’re not going to run out of storage anytime soon, with Hostgator, which will give you great peace of mind. Now, as I mentioned, Hostgator is both a great option for beginners and more advanced users. So let’s talk about how easy it is to use. First of all, diving right into the setup part of things, it’s very easy to get your account set up and to cancel it if you choose. There are a ton of one click installers, there’s WordPress hosting, and a website building tool, which will all help you get set up without doing any coding. And you don’t have to worry if you don’t have a technical background… ran out of the 5k characters limit, sorry guys.

  2. I have been using HostGator since 2011. I haven't had any problems with my website. To my knowledge my site has only gone down one time in 8 years. I'd say that's pretty good. I've used their customer service and have been satisfied. Overall I have been very happy with HostGator

  3. I've been a hostgator I client for a year and I decided to extend the cooperation for another three years. So far I didn't have any technical problems.

  4. Transfer from the previous host was fast and simple. No issues found. All my sites are up and working and have better load times than before.

  5. HostGator has been extremely professional handling anything I've thrown at them. I have many different domains with them and like to self-teach myself about all the back-end stuff by just messing around there and seeing what happens. So I'm probably not their favorite client but nonetheless, every time I've managed to mess something up they have managed to fix it. The service is good, price is good and support is great!

  6. been 2 years or more now and I have been enjoying the experience..If someone wants to start for hobby or even a small/micro business, Hostgator is my recommendation.

  7. Working on my first website, really pleased with Hostgator thus far. I've used their support which was perfect! i'm seeing evidence they've got the bases covered and have all the features i'll ever need, easy to access. Yea, yea the price doubles after the initial period or whatever.. don't think i'll hold it against them.. it's not like my website will have many other outgoings to cover.

  8. I use the server to host my clients. It makes life easy, gives me access to tech support when clients try to do something on their own and break it all, and has been a pleasant experience. This is the third server package I have purchased since 2005. I keep coming back and they keep letting me. It works.

  9. I host several sites for different kind of sites and customers, tried many hosting suppliers big and small and Hostgator still reliable, good support, good rates and good performance, I have been using them for more than 8 Years
