This is the Part 2 of Azure Websites-Azure Web Apps session. In this session I discuss what deployment actually means and recap on how to create and deploy an Azure website from Visual Studio. Further discussion is provided on Azure Website slots and why they are needed and how they are created. Full demo is provided on all the concepts discussed. Finally in this session I demo the PowerShell equivalent of all the tasks that were performed in this session including creating web deployment packages and deploying them to Azure slots.

  1. Hi Shwan i have a question:
    Lets assume i have selected a Premium App service plan with 250GB disk space for a webapp.
    Later i create a deployment site, for test. Will the 250 GB disk space in pricing tier of App service plan split it 125 ,125 GB each for Production Slot and Test slot respectively?

  2. I get the slots now. But after you swap the code between dev & production; if everything is OK, then how could you archive the code that was the previous production version now swapped to the dev?
