S3 Website Hosting | How to host a static website in under 20 minutes using AWS S3

Hi guys. This video is just a preview of what is to come. This is about 70% complete. I figured I should get it out there just to see if people would care or not.

This includes how to set up an S3 bucket as a website in AWS S3, as well as how to register for a domain name in AWS Route53. It also includes how to manage your DNS by creating Alias records that point to your website buckets.

What is left to be done is to show you how to set up a SSL certificate, as well as how to configure the AWS Cloudfront distribution.

  1. Great video, I'm unclear how to redirect in your case domain.com/home to domain.com – basically removing index.html and just forwarding the main domain root.

  2. Awesome job as usual Daryl – thanks for being such a great teacher! Since you don't have any AWS courses on Udemy I bought your CSS courses instead – I hope you don't mind. 🙂 https://www.udemy.com/course/flexbox-in-depth/?referralCode=3A3DF448ACD37C422397

  3. Hey guys. Hope you enjoyed the video. I also have a course on Udemy around CSS Grid for only $9.99 at the moment. You can get it by clicking on the following link. https://www.udemy.com/course/mastering-css-grid/?couponCode=5368970C523C6995BBA3
